Abeba Carlan is a VA-accredited attorney who understands the hope and frustration related to disability claims as she experienced those feelings first-hand. After observing the complex legal aspects involved in her husband’s process (a retired, disabled, combat Veteran), she decided to pursue a legal career in assisting Veterans with their cases.

As a volunteer with Christian Legal Aid of the District of Columbia (CLADC), she also developed a passion for the intricate aspects and important work of social security law, assisting with applications and appeals before the Social Security Administration.
Abeba is an accomplished interpreter, translator, instructor (Italian, French and English), and entrepreneur with an online education platform providing US Bar Exam preparation material.

Originally from Italy, Abeba completed a Master’s Degree in English and French Language and Literature, and an Italian Law degree. In the U.S., after completing an LL.M (Master of
Law) Program in U.S. Law from Florida Coastal School of Law, she passed the Washington State bar exam on her first attempt.

In addition to practicing law, Abeba founded IurisMicae LLC, a platform offering study material for the U.S. Bar Exam in UBE jurisdictions with tips from her personal experience.
